On the 13th August 2022 at St Paul's Church in Seaton, Cumbria, Steph and Lee became husband and wife in the midst of their family and friends by exchanging rings and proclaiming their marriage vows to one another.

Steph and Lee met and became good friends when they were just teens, as they were introduced by a mutual friend at Steph's place of work. The more time they spent together, the stronger their bond grew and flourished. Since then, they became parents to their gorgeous little girl, Sophie-Mae, and a few years later, Lee asked Steph to marry him while they were enjoying some quality time away together at a hotel in Barrow, which Steph described as 'an intimate moment between us both'.

On the morning of the wedding, Steph, along with her two beautiful bridesmaids and flower girls, got ready together for the big day ahead at The Trout Hotel, Cockermouth. They had their hair done by @Courtney_Rooke and make-up by AbbieXX Beauty Studio, and helped each other into their dresses. The bridesmaids dresses were blush pink, and the flower girls wore white leotards and blush pink tutu's. Steph's dress was detailed with lace and sequins, with long lace sleeves and blush pink/champagne tones underneath the white lace, so very glamorous - to say that she looked stunning would be an understatement!

At the church, Lee, his groomsmen, and all the guests waited in anticipation and excitement. When Steph and rest of the bridal party arrived at the church, everybody stood, and as the song 'I Get To Love You' by Ruelle played, the lovely flower girls and bridesmaids made their way down the aisle, leading the way for the beautiful bride and her father, Richard. As Lee glanced up the aisle to his soon-to-be-wife, the look in his eyes and the smile on his face truly said more than any words could in that moment.

It was a truly beautiful ceremony and celebration of Christian marriage. The songs 'The Lord's My Shepherd' and 'Great is Thy Faithfulness' were sang, and a reading from 1 Corinthians was given.

Steph and Lee left the church hand in hand, and headed off in a classic Bentley convertible to Greenhill Hotel for their drinks reception.

Once they arrived at the hotel, we took the opportunity to take some intimate bride and groom photographs, while we waited for everyone else to arrive. The sun blazed down while guests enjoyed a chilled beverage and group photographs took place.

As the next part of the evening began, Father of the bride, Richard, fabulously kicked off the speeches, which was followed by an emotional speech by Lee, and ended with a little bit of humour from the Best Man, Mike. After many laughs, and a few tears, it was now time to sit back and enjoy a delicious three course meal and listen to some fantastic live music as Glen, the wedding entertainer sang us many beautiful songs into the evening.

Steph and Lee brought many creative and fun ideas to their wedding day, including outdoor lawn games, a candy cart and sweets table, a magic mirror photo booth for dressing up and taking silly photos, and the live entertainment for children and adults to dance to throughout the reception.

Their fabulous, three-tiered wedding cake was handmade locally, with pink and white icing, and three different flavours; chocolate, lemon and vanilla - yum!! When the time came for Steph and Lee to cut the cake together, Lee had a bit of a surprise as Steph took the slice and smushed it right into his face - absolutely brilliant! Luckily for Steph, Lee didn't return the favour - pheww!

After their tasty cake cut, it was time for the bride and groom's first dance together. They had chosen to dance to the lovely song 'Yours (wedding edition)' by Russell Dickerson which was super romantic with country vibes. Holding each other close, Steph and Lee gazed into each others eyes, swaying and twirling as if it was just the two of them in the room. After their first dance to their song, the rest of the guests were waved on to the dance floor to join them, filling up the dance floor ready for those funky dance moves to start! It was such a fun evening, and lots of great dance moves to go with it.

Steph and Lee - huge congratulations to the both of you, thank you for asking me to capture and document your special day, it was such a pleasure to be a part of it :)

Love Rhi & Kieran x
