Rob and Laura have known each other a long time, they started dating 3 years ago, and in May this year, Rob Proposed to Laura surrounded by Bluebells whilst strolling through a nature reserve. They both grew up attending St John's Church with their families, and so it really meant a lot for them both to get married there too - which is exactly what they did!
Morning bridal preparations were at Laura's family home where she enjoyed the great company of her fantastic bridesmaids and close family, and Keren Rudd did a fabulous job at styling everyone's hair. There were plenty of smiles, giggles and even time for a tik-tok video!
The wedding day had a sage green, navy and white colour scheme, with eucalyptus and white roses featured throughout, including Laura’s beautiful bouquet, which was made by The Flower Basket - simply elegant!
Laura looked absolutely amazing in her perfect dress, and had a smile from ear to ear as she walked down the aisle to meet Rob, who was also beaming with delight at the sight of his Bride. The ceremony was lovely and very personable as friends and family were very involved in many ways such as the readings, prayers, and live worship throughout the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, came confetti and cupcakes, with the chance for everyone to mingle before heading to Windermere for the reception. Before joining everybody, I was able to sneak off with Rob and Laura to a gorgeous part of Lake Windermere to take some stunning Lakeside portraits on a pier; a lovely chance to take a stroll and soak up the scenery before rejoining for the rest of the festivities!
Merewood Country House Hotel is such a stunning venue, surrounded by trees and nature with views overlooking the lake. Merewood did a wonderful job at hosting Rob and Laura's reception, including a delicious three course wedding breakfast, wonderfully heartfelt speeches, cutting of the stunning cake made by Muffin Top Boutique Bakery, a fab ceilidh by Thrice Brewed, and disco that ran late into the night!
All in all, a wonderful day to capture and be a part of - Congratulations Mr & Mrs Mayhew! :)
