Beth and Matty met in 2018 as students at Keele University, in the early hours of the morning during a Christian Union event. Beth's favourite thing about Matty in her words is "his sense of humour and ability to make me laugh in any situation", and Matty's favourite thing about Beth in his words is "her seamless blend of intelligence and fun"! Matty proposed to Beth at Delamere Forest in the snow, after several months of social distancing and living in different countries. On the 20th August 2022, Beth and Matty became one, on the very same campus they first met on, in Keele University Chapel. When I asked them what they were most looking forward to about their day, they said that they were "most excited to worship God together with our friends and have a big celebration with our families!", and that is exactly what they did.

It was a lovely ceremony, beginning with the entrance of the beautiful bridesmaids dressed in blue, leading the way for Beth, the beautiful bride herself and her father. Many elements of the ceremony were very personal to Beth and Matty, including many hand picked worship songs played by musically talented friends, a gorgeous piano piece played by Matty's sister, and readings and prayers from close family and friends. The lovely flower bouquets were made by Beth, which incorporated gypsophila, ferns, eucalyptus and thistles, amongst other beautiful green foliage, all bound together with blue and white ribbons.

After the ceremony, teas and coffee's were served in the hall, along with cakes and refreshments, giving the guests and the wedding party the chance to mingle with one another.

Beth and Matty soon set off in their vintage classic car to the reception venue, where we spent a bit of time taking some lovely couple's portraits around the grounds of Crewe Hall, as guests slowly arrived for the drinks reception.

Once everyone had arrived, baskets of confetti were passed around to welcome Beth and Matty, the newly-weds, with a cheer and handfuls of dried rose petals as they walked through the tunnel of their guests, being showered with confetti.

Before my departure, we captured some group photographs on the steps, finishing with a whole group photograph and a massive cheer. The day was still young, and Beth and Matty still had much more fun in store for the rest of the evening ahead.

Thank you both so much for asking me to capture part of your special day - it was truly lovely to be apart of! I hope you enjoy looking through these highlights of your day - I can't wait to share the rest with you :)
